Determind to finish the year on a good note, 4th grade took on SWS - another one of the many teams that we had a "should have won" result against earlier in the season.
YOu could tell it was coming to the end of the season from the fact that it was the middle of the day and 26 degrees - too hot for hockey. The good news was that we were playing a team made up of players of the same vintage as ours and so the heat affected both teams similarly.
The play varied from scrappy at times to some fantastic team hockey. The inners and forwards were finding lots of space and time and with Steve having a great game being open in the centre we knocked in 3 goals in the first half.
The second half pace slowed a little as the heat took it's toll, however we still maintained the dominance with a great result to finish the season.
Thanks to all who have played for the 4ths in particular the regular fill ins in what has been a thoroughly enjoyable season!
